THIS IS A SATIRICAL TAKE ON THE TV SHOPPING PROGRAMS FOCUSING ON THE IDEA OF COMMODITY FETISHISM. THE PRODUCTS BEING SHOWN IN THE VIDEO COME FROM POPULAR AND PUBLIC CRAFT VIEDOS ON FACEBOOK. IN THESE CRAFT VIDEOS, SOMEONE HAS CREATED SOMETHING THAT THEY DETERMINE TO BE A 'LIFE HACK'. THE DEFINITION OF A LIFE HACK IS 'A STRATEGY OR TECHNIQUE ADOPTED IN ORDER TO MANAGE ONE'S TIME TIME AND DAILY ACTIVITIES IN A MORE EFFICIENT WAY'. THEREFORE YOU WOULD BELIEVE THESE PRODUCTS, THAT HAVE BEEN SO WIDELY SHARED, VIEWED AND LIKED THROUGH VIDEOS ON FACEBOOK, TO BE SOMETHING POSSIBLY ESSENTIAL OR BENEFICIALLY USEFUL FOR EVERYDAY TASKS IN THE ORDER OF MAKING THEM EASIER TO COMPLETE. HOWEVER, THESE PRODUCTS ARE ESSENTIALLY JUNK. THEY EITHER HAVE ONLY ONE SPECIFIC FUNCTION OR ARE UNNECESSARY FOR THE SIMPLE REASON THAT THERE ARE A MULTITUDE OF PRODUCTS ALREADY IN CIRCULATION. THE PRESENTER- SHE HAS BEEN IN THE SAME JOB FOR YEARS. SHE IS THE WORST OF THE WORST WHN IT COMES TO TV SHOPPING CHANNELS SO THE WORST PRODUCTS LAND WITH HER TO SELL.
THE PRODUCER- IS THE PERSON BEHIND THE CAMERA THAT FINALISES ALL THE EDITING AND MAKES SURE THE SHOW IS 'SEAMLESS'. THEY TOO ARE STUCK IN THIS DEAD-END JOB AND ARE LOOSING THE WILL TO LIVE. THIS COMES THROUGH IN THE COMMENTS IN WRITING WHICH ARE MIXED INTO THE FILM.
