‘Artist in her own residence’:
Performance 49:29
Water, red food dye, 5x5L white buckets, 1 tbs measuring cup, paper towel, pencil and notepad.

This performance was made after a discussion surrounding women’s autonomy over their own bodies (or lack thereof). \

The volume of red liquid is equivalent to the average total volume of blood a woman will dispel over her lifetime through her menstrual cycle (between 14 and 28 litres). Each measuring cup denotes one cycle's worth.

This 'waste' material has been politicised, dehumanised, demonised and capitalised on.
